My Teaching Portfolio
Meet The TeacherFor me, teaching is a calling. I remember loving to play “school” as a young child. This love of the entire learning process has followed me throughout the changes in my career path. I am so excited to be working in 1st Grade this year and cannot wait to meet everyone! I am also excited and honored to be allowed to work with your children this year and watch them grow and learn.
Past Teaching Experience
- Substitute Teacher with Chester County Intermediate Unit
- Assistant Teacher in Middle School Program at The Vanguard School
- Teacher in High School Program at The Vanguard School
- Teacher for The Vanguard School’s DLC (Daily Living Center) Program.
- Teacher for Elementary, Middle, and High School Students at Horsham Clinic
- Last year worked at Holy Family as a Temporary Teacher in the 4th-grade classroom.
Training and Certifications- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Non-Profit Management from Cabrini College
- Elementary K-6 Certification from Immaculate University.
- Master of Education and Certified Reading Specialist from Slippery Rock University
- Orton Gillingham Part 1 certification
- Certification from the Dyscalculia Service Organization
Activities/HobbiesI am a member of the Keystone State Literacy Association
Board Member for Independent Monitoring for Quality (Which observes the satisfaction and quality of life of people receiving services in the developmental disability system in Chester County.)
I love to travel (the most exciting place I had the chance to visit was Korea), hiking, and biking.
I have a wonderful husband, one son, and an extensive family – with several sisters, one brother, and 18 nieces and nephews!
